Ron Bianchi will be providing his detailed weather foorecast encompassing the race course area. Ron will provide a detailed forecast for the 4 days of the regatta and will be onsite Thursday & Saturday. Ron is the Director of Meteorology with Golder Associates Ltd. He has held the position VP of Meteorology for Weather Network/MeteoMedia, and Operations Manager for Environment Canada’s Storm Prediction Centre in Ontario. He is also Past President of the Canadian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society, and a Fellow of the Royal Meteorological Society and American Meteorological Society. Ron was also a CYA Sailing and Power Instructor from 1982 to 2000, and has managed and taught sailing, meteorology, navigation, and boat safety for several sailing schools throughout the GTA. He is a CCG SAR Tech II trained officer with 5 years of service. Ron has been has lecturing and teaching about the nature and behavior of the atmosphere at Sailing Schools, Yacht Clubs, Canadian Sail and Power Squadrons, Colleges and Universities for over two decades. To date he has made well over 2700 presentations and lectures and has over 20 years experience in applied Meteorology and forecasting and how it relates to all who head out on the water. Weather Routing Inc. to provide daily forecastsAug 3, 2011
Weather Routing Inc. will be providing daily forceasts starting with a preliminary September 6 and daily forecasts September 8th-11th.
These forecasts will be made available online for all compeditors.
Once the forecasts are available they will be available here.

This service is for ticket purchases for spectator boats available on Saturday Sept.10 & Sunday Sept.11 and additional social dinner tickets which can be puchased here via a fax form to the National Yacht Club in Toronto. Note: The boat registration fee includes the social dinner events for a total of 9 persons per boat. This purchase service is for additional social dinner tickets which include the Hilton Welcome event - Wednesday Sept.7 and the Barbados event on Friday Sept. 9.
